It is the second biggest acquisition of Amazon post the biggest acquisition of Whole Foods by Amazon in 2017 for 13.4 Billion USD.
MGM is into the business of making films and TV programs and it has won many Oscar awards.
It could boost Amazon Prime subscribers count in future.
