CPI inflation in USA in March-2022 soared by 8.5% when compared with March-2021.

CPI inflation in USA in March-2022 soared by 1.2% when compared with February-2022.

The energy index rose 32.0 percent over the last year and the food index increased 8.8 percent, the largest 12-month increase since the period ending May 1981.

Actually this is a bad news for USA stock markets but currently Dow Jones index is trading with 185 points gain.

The index for all items less food and energy rose 6.5 percent over the past 12 months.

The Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) increased 8.5 percent over the last 12 months to an index level of 287.504.

The Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers (CPI-W) increased 9.4 percent over the last 12 months to an index level of 283.176.

The Chained Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (C-CPI-U) increased 8.1 percent over the last 12 months.
