Paytm is India's largest leading payment gateway that offers comprehensive payment services for customer and merchants. Paytm offer mobile payment solutions to over 7 million merchants. Paytm pioneered and are the leader of QR based mobile payments in India.

One97 is PayTM's parent company and by year 2018 Company is valued at 10 Billion USD.

PayTM has 150 Million monthly active users as on March-2021.

PayTM revenue in FY-2021 was 2800 Crores INR and posted net loss of approximately 1,700 Crores INR in FY-2021.

PatTM Startup in India and Funding to PayTM App:

• Paytm was founded in August 2010 and it started with an investment of $2 million by Vijay Shekhar Sharma.
• In March 2015, Paytm received its funding from Chinese e-commerce company Alibaba Group based in China, Ant Financial Services Group, an Alibaba Group affiliate, took 25% stake in One97.
• In May 2017, Paytm received funding from SoftBank which is Japan based company keeping company's valuation at 10 Billion USD.
• In Aug 2018, Berkshir Hathway which is USA based company invested 356 Million USD for 3% to 4% stake in PayTM Company.

• In 2013, Paytm acquired Plustxt for around $3 million.
• In 2015, Paytm invested $5 million in auto-rickshaw aggregator and hyperlocal delivery firm Jugnoo.
• In August 2015. PatTM travel business crossed $500 million and booked more than 2 million tickets per month.
• In August 2015, Paytm received a license from Reserve Bank of India to launch a payments bank.
• PayTM Payment Bank is set to launch over 100,000 banking outlets across India by end of 2018.
• In 2016, Paytm invested in logistics startups LogiNext and XpressBees
• In Financial Year 2017, Paytm revenue stood at Rs 814 crore.
• By 2017, Paytm became India's first payment app with over 100 million app downloads.
• In 2017, PayTM acquired and merged Nearbuy.com and Little Internet in order to create India’s largest discovery and deals platform for local merchants. Nearbuy and Little work with over 40,000 small and large merchants across food, beauty, travel and other categories.
• In April 2017, Paytm invested in healthcare startup QorQL which uses artificial intelligence (AI) and big data to help doctors.
• As on Jan-2018 PayTM valuation is approximately 10 Billion USD.
• In June 2018 the company acquired the startup Cube26 which is backed by Flipkart.
